We live in a broken world. People can become damaged, struggle with issues from their childhood or get stuck in intense day to day situations. The Lord Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted and set the captives free. He promised us peace if we come to Him with all that is bothering us.
It is possible to receive counseling through Crossing Point, with a strong emphasis on prayer ministry.
The issues we deal with range from relatively mild to victims of emotional or sexual abuse. We see God doing miracles in the area of trauma and inner healing.
In our approach, we take into account the influence of the invisible or spiritual world. Occult influence , for whatever reason, can cause immense psychological suffering. A prayer for spiritual freedom can then literally work miracles.
God is near to the brokenhearted.
In every meeting, we seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We pray for inner healing and, where relevant, for deliverance. We operate from the premise that the Lord Jesus has authority over all areas of life, and we observe that as clients learn to submit aspects of their lives to Him, their lives become better. This often involves a change in how a person views God, themselves, and the world. When the Lord Jesus Himself reveals a lie that a client believes, it makes a greater impact than when we say something with our own wisdom.
Our focus is on prayer.
The Gospel is good news! Religious distortions can cause people to get stuck in fear, inferiority, guilt, and shame. Sometimes, biblical teaching is needed so that people will see God's truth about God and themselves. We therefore address some common themes in our ‘modules’. Sometimes, before we help people individually, we will stimulate them to complete one or more of these modules first.

Relationship with regular mental health care
Sometimes we encounter clients who are stuck in regular mental health care, or who couldn't access it. We also sometimes have parallel trajectories where we, if possible, work togehter. It also happens that clients seek regular care after a trajectory with us.
Intake and Procedure
If you contact us and we believe we can offer help, we will schedule a prayer appointment with at least two team members. After a brief introduction and explanation, we will proceed directly to prayer: God knows exactly what you need, and we give Him the lead. Based on experience, we can say that sometimes problems are already largely resolved after onesession. However, this is not always the case.
If it turns out that a multi-session approach is needed, a new track will begin. You may have to wait a while for prayer ministers to be available for a longer commitment. We do our best to work with the people who have already prayed for you previously, but we cannot guarantee this one hundred percent. Once we start, these sessions will be scheduled approximately two weeks apart. After every two meetings, we will take a moment to evaluate whether you and we believe our help is meaningful.
The reason we work this way is that we don't want people to wait unnecessarily long if a prayer circle can already solve a lot.

What can you expect from us?
When we pray or journey with you for an extended period, we will strive to help you to the best of our abilitiy. We will make time for you and invest in your life. One of the advantages is that we are not bound by contracts that limit time or force a pace of change. Because we believe that the Lord Jesus has all authority in heaven and on earth, our desire is that you will be free and live in the destiny God has for you.
What do we expect from you?
It is important that you invest in your own life with us. You may need to take time off from work or adjust some prioroties. Given the number of requests for help, it is only possible for us to a limited extent – though we do try – to take all personal circumstances into account. If we have an appointment, we assume you will only cancel it in case of force majeure.
You will need the mindset that ‘the problem is your enemy.’ We can pray for you, hold God's truth and principles before you, but we can never make choices for you. It is important that you join a church for healthy growth, if you haven't already.

We want our help to be accessible to everyone, and in principle, we offer it on a donation basis. This also applies to our modules. If you ask for our help, we ask you to contribute to our work through a donation – if you are able to.
